The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) use a 100 point scoring system to evaluate the quality of coffee. The majority of specialty coffee sits around the 84-86 mark, however Geisha scores consistently over 90 - also known as “presidential award coffee”.
Panamanian Geisha is often considered the world's best geisha coffee due to high-altitude volcanic soil, unique microclimates, and consistent quality reflected in high cup scores. These coffees often have floral aromas like jasmine and bergamot, bright acidity, and delicate sweetness.
